Russian authorities published a discussion draft of new standards on chemical regulation

The following standards are subject to revision:

Classification of chemicals;

Labeling of chemicals;

Chemical production safety passport;

Guidance on the application of the criteria of chemicals classification for health hazard. Sensitization;

Guidance on the application of the criteria of chemicals classification for health hazard. Aspiration hazard;

Guidance on the application of the criteria of chemicals classification for health hazard. Specific target organ toxicity – Repeat exposure;

Guidance on the application of the criteria of chemicals classification for health hazard. Specific target organ toxicity – Single exposure.

The standards are the implementation of the 7th revision of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals and affect the classification and labeling of chemical products imported into Russia and the EEA countries.

The procedure for public discussion will be held until 10.09. 2018 for drafts of national standards and until 08.10.2018 for drafts of interstate standards.
